What are the conditions for cars proposed for loan applications?

Loans for new cars

• Only new cars are accepted.

• Car brands are as specified by SCB.

Loans for used cars

• Only for passenger cars, pick-up trucks, and vans as per the vehicle registration book.

• Car brands are as specified by SCB.

• The cars must be free of obligation and not over 12 years old.

• The cars must be registered for private use only.

My Car My Cash loans

• Only for passenger cars, pick-up trucks, and vans as per the vehicle registration book.

• Cars must be free of obligation and not over 15 years old. For a loan instalment period of 84 months, the cars must not be over 12 years old and not over 19 years when combined with the loan instalment period.

• The cars must be registered for private use only. Cars registered for hire or under a juristic person’s ownership are not accepted.

• Modified cars, cars with changed engines, and imported cars are not accepted.

My Car My Cash Refinance

• Only for passenger cars, pick-up trucks, and vans as per the vehicle registration book.

• Cars that are not over 15 years old and still under instalment obligations with other banks/financial institutions. For a loan instalment period of 84 months, cars must not be over 12 years old and not over 19 years when combined with the loan instalment period.

• Cars must be registered for private use only. Cars registered for hire or under a juristic person’s ownership are not accepted.

• Modified cars, cars with changed engines, and imported cars are not accepted.

I want to transfer the entitlement as per the hire-purchase contract and change the name of the hire-purchaser. What do I have to do?

You may transfer the entitlement when one fourth (25%) of the loan amount has been paid. To transfer the entitlement, you and the new hire-purchaser and the new guarantor (if any) need to prepare the following supporting documents and contact any SCB branch in person.

• 3 copies of ID card and house registration of the existing hire-purchaser, the new hire-purchaser and the new guarantor.

• A copy of financial/bank statement of the new hire-purchaser and the new guarantor.

• A copy of maps of the current residential address and office address with address details and contact number of the new hire-purchaser and the new guarantor.

• 4 copies of the engine number and the vehicle identification number transcription.

How/where can I pay car loan instalments?

Without a payment fee or service charge, you can pay car loan instalments via the following channels.

• The SCB EASY App.

• Cash payments over the counter at any SCB branch.

• Direct debit via an SCB deposit account (only available for instalments and penalty fees (if any) as specified in the payment reminder only).

• An SCB ATM or CDM.

Payments via the following channels are subject to a payment fee or service charge as specified by the payment service provider.

• Cash payments over the counter at banks other than SCB.

• Cash payments at Counter Service or post offices with the PAY AT POST logo nationwide.

• Cash payments at Lotus's and Lotus's Go Fresh cashiers nationwide.

How can I check the latest billed instalment amount?

You can check payment details and get a payment barcode via the following channels:

• The SCB EASY app: Go to “My Accounts” and select “My Loans.”

Home Loans

Home Loans for New Houses

Who can be joint borrowers in case of joint borrowing? Are non-family members allowed?

Up to 3 joint borrowers are allowed in case of joint borrowing. The joint borrowers shall be legal relatives (parents or siblings) or a spouse regardless of marriage registration. The loan period will be considered based on the age of the youngest joint borrower.

What are the home loan application requirements for LGBTQ+ people? (Conditions, loan calculation for joint borrowing, supporting documents, etc.)

Conditions and supporting documents are the same as the regular requirements for joint borrowing (for joint borrowers of the same sex who are not family members).

Can a foreigner apply for a home loan?

Yes, given that it is joint borrowing with a joint borrower who is a Thai national.

Can a self-employed person or a business owner apply for a home loan?

Yes. Loan approval conditions are as specified by SCB.

I don’t have a payroll slip. Can I apply for a home loan?

You can apply for a home loan even without a payroll slip. However, you will need to submit the following documents instead:

- Account statement for a minimum of the past 6 months, or

- Certificate of withholding tax (Form 50 Thavi), showing income for a minimum of the past 6 months

Is fire insurance required for the collateral or the property when applying for a home loan?

To apply for an SCB Home loan, applicants shall apply for fire insurance for the property pledged as collateral for protection against fire or natural disasters. You may apply for fire insurance with an insurance company specified by SCB or another reliable insurance company you prefer. SCB must be specified as the beneficiary in the fire insurance policy.

Is Credit Life insurance required for a home loan?

Credit Life insurance is optional and subject to the client’s discretion without any effect on SCB’s credit consideration and approval. With Credit Life insurance, in the event of the borrower’s death the heir of the deceased will not be liable for any debts or obligations, with the insurance company liable for debts or obligations as per the sum insured specified in the insurance policy. Another benefit is a discount in interest rates for an SCB Home loan.

What is the minimum SCB Home loan amount?

The minimum loan amount is considered from trading price and valuation pricing and determined by the lower value. The minimum valuation pricing for areas in Bangkok is 600,000 baht. The minimum valuation pricing for areas in other provinces is 500,000 baht.

Can I apply for a home loan for interior design and decoration?

Yes, but additional supporting documents, including a design plan, are required.

Can I apply for another home loan with the bank if I already have a home loan with SCB?

Yes, you may apply for another home loan. Loan approval conditions are as specified by SCB.

My Home My Cash

What is a My Home My Cash (MHMC) loan?

My Home My Cash (MHMC) is a loan for which collateral ownership belongs to the borrower and/or joint borrower, or a parent or immediate sibling of the borrower/joint borrower only, and the collateral is obligation free or for refinancing a home loan from other banks.

I have an obligation-free house. Can I apply for any type of home loan?

Yes, you can apply for a My Home My Cash (MHMC) loan.

What are the types of property that can be pledged as collateral in applying for a My Home My Cash loan?

Single houses, attached houses, townhouses, commercial buildings or shophouses (for a loan amount up to 10 million baht), and condominium units, empty plots of land (located in a populated residential area and not deserted).

Can empty plots of land, farmland, blocked plots of land be proposed as collateral when applying for a My Home My Cash loan?

- Empty plots of land and farmland with clear entrances can be proposed when applying for a My Home My Cash loan.

- Blocked plots of land are not accepted for loan applications.

Can I propose collateral which is still pledged with another bank as collateral when applying for a My Home My Cash loan?

Yes, given that the purpose of your existing loan with another bank is for consumption and the collateral must be free of obligation before the mortgage registration with that bank.

How many days does it take for My Home My Cash approval?

You will get a preliminary loan consideration result within 1 business day, given that SCB has receive a complete set of required documents and collateral valuation (For collateral items that are plots of land with buildings in property projects only).

Home Loans for House Construction

Can I apply for a home loan with SCB to have a house built by a non-SCB partner construction contractor?

An SCB home loan is available for house construction. In case of a construction contractor in general, the conditions on drawdown upon the construction phase, interest rates, and other special offers will be different from those in case a construction contractor is an SCB partner.

Must construction drawings be signed off by an engineer for a home loan for house construction?

There is no need for signing off the construction drawings for functional spaces under 150 sq.m. Construction drawings must be signed off on every page by an engineer for functional spaces over 150 sq.m.

What are the loan drawdown options for a home loan for house construction, lump sum, or upon construction phase. In cash or by cheque?

Loan drawdown is upon construction phase via a fund transfer to the borrower’s SCB deposit account or directly payable to the construction contractor if they are an SCB partner. The amount of each loan drawdown will be considered based on the percentage of construction completion.

To which party will loan drawdowns be paid?

- Loan drawdowns will be directly payable to construction contractors that are an SCB partner.

- For construction contractor in general, loan drawdowns will be transferred to the borrower’s SCB deposit account.

What is the case for the first drawdown upon signing a loan agreement?

The first drawdown upon signing a loan agreement is available in the event that clients have a house built by a construction contractor that is an SCB partner. The payment will be made on the mortgage registration date.

- Prepayment of the whole loan amount for refinancing with another bank or specialized financial institution within the first 3 years from the home loan agreement period shall be subject to a penalty fee by 3% of the outstanding loan amount.

What do I have to do to get a reduced interest rate for my home loan?

It is possible if you have paid at least 36 instalments of a home loan. You can fill out a request form and submit supporting documents for the bank’s consideration as follows:

Manee Tunjai Business Loan
What are Manee Tunjai Business Loans?

They are unsecured business loans targeting small businesses with high growth potential to use as working capital or to fuel their business growth. These loans contain amortization features with variable interest rates and monthly payments.

Who can get a Manee Tunjai Loan, and what are the basic requirements?

1. Thai nationals between the ages of 20 and 65
2. Have an SCB deposit account with statements that show inflows of at least 25,000 baht per month, coming in for at least the last 3 months through any of the following online channels:
· Mae Manee's QR payment app
· EDC
· PromptPay or bank transfers
3. Use the SCB EASY app with a verified email address.

Eligible customers must be invited to apply for a Manee Tunjai Loan through the Bank's marketing channels, such as SCB Line Connect, SCB EASY notification, SCB EASY Pop up, Email, or SMS.

Who can apply for a Manee Tunjai Loan, and what is the application process?

Customers must be invited to apply for a Manee Tunjai Loan through SCB's marketing channels, such as SCB EASY app notifications, SCB Line Connect, email, or SMS. They can use the SCB EASY app to start the application process by clicking on the link.

How can I know if I have been invited to apply for a Manee Tunjai loan?

1. Log in to the SCB EASY app, go to the "Apply Loan & Credit Card" menu, and then choose "Business Loan."

- You can proceed forward with a Manee Tunjai Loan if the screen shows the pre-approved limit that you have been given.

- You cannot apply for a Manee Tunjai Loan just yet if the screen does not show a pre-approved limit. You will get an offer when you meet the requirements.

2. Customers can check if they have been invited to apply for a Manee Tunjai Loan through notifications on the SCB EASY app, SCB Line Connect, email, or SMS.

What documents are required when applying for a Manee Tun Jai Loan?

No need to submit or upload any additional documents.

What is the maximum amount that can be borrowed?

The maximum approval limit is 500,000 baht for regular customers and up to 1 million baht for stores on the Robinhood app.

Can I choose the length of my installments?

Yes, customers can choose repayment periods of 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months. Merchants on the Robinhood app can choose a repayment period of up to 72 months. The maximum repayment period depends on your ability to pay debts that the system calculates for each person.

What is the interest rate?
What are the fees involved for using a Manee Tunjai Loan?

1. A front-end fee of 3% of the approved amount

2. Stamp duties of 0.05% of the approved limit, but not exceeding 10,000 baht. Credit limits of less than 2,000 baht do not require stamp duties.

Which channels can I use to apply for a Manee Tunjai Loan?

Customers must apply via the SCB EASY app only.

How do I pay back my Manee Tunjai Loan?

Customers must choose which account they want to use for direct debit. SCB will debit the amount from the account on the date that installment amounts are due. Customers can pay before an installment is due by themselves through the SCB EASY app.

Can I pay back all the remaining balance before the loan is due to be repaid in full?

Customers who want to pay back all their loans early can do so through the SCB EASY app. If the loan is paid off early within 3 years of the loan agreement date, the customer must pay a prepayment fee equal to 3% of the principal balance as of the prepayment date.
