SCBX Group by Siam Commercial Bank Supports Operation Smile Foundation in Restoring Bright Smiles to Children with Cleft Lip and Palate Conditions
SCBX Group, led by Mr. Kris Chantanotoke, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Siam Commercial Bank, is committed to supporting access to medical and public health services to enhance the well-being and quality of life of the public. Recently, the group donated one million baht to the Operation Smile Foundation for the 11th consecutive year as part of its 2025 contribution. Ms. Wannarat Phanjan, First Executive Vice President & Head of Operations, represented Siam Commercial Bank in presenting the donation to Mr. Alan Kam, Treasurer of the Operation Smile Foundation, at the SCB Head Office. The funds will be allocated to the Mobile Medical Unit Project, Surgery Project, and Medical Equipment Procurement Project. These initiatives aim to provide underprivileged children with cleft lip and palate conditions, burns, and facial deformities access to ongoing surgeries and treatments that meet international standards—helping them return to life with confidence and joy.
In addition to medical support, the Operation Smile Foundation also raises awareness and provides educational activities to various target groups to help prevent cleft conditions in children. Over the course of this partnership, 343 children have benefited from the support. Each patient has to undergo multiple surgeries over a span of 10 years, emphasizing the long-term impact of this vital support.
To further boost morale, SCB hosted the “SCB, Let’s Do Good” initiative, encouraging SCBX Group employees to volunteer in creating 500 “Punsuk Plush Toys” for the fourth consecutive year. These toys will be gifted to children undergoing cleft lip and palate surgeries through Operation Smile Foundation projects, offering them emotional support and encouragement during their treatment journey.
