Siam Commercial Bank and National Innovation Agency launch 5th IBE Course, fostering innovation in organizations for sustainable business

 

 

 

 

            Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has partnered with the National Innovation Agency (NIA), a public organization, to introduce the fifth NIA x SCB Innovation-Based Enterprise course (IBE): Sustainnovation Enterprise. This program aims to cultivate innovation-based enterprises focused on sustainable business practices by sharing expertise and enhancing business skills across various domains. The course will be attended by 63 small and medium-sized business operators (SMEs) across various sectors, including the factory, construction industry, food and beverage, logistics and transportation, and waste management segments.  The Sustainnovation Enterprise course includes the application of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles to foster business innovations that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and optimizing energy usage.

 

             Siam Commercial Bank and the National Innovation Agency anticipate that the Suatainnovation Enterprise course will serve as a catalyst for participating companies, enhancing their business opportunities and appealing to investors and environmentally conscious customers. The program is designed to empower these companies to not only attract the emerging generation interested in sustainable business management but also foster collaboration with them. Furthermore, it aims to facilitate trade and export partnerships with industry leaders who prioritize sustainability.

 

             The opening ceremony featured Mr. Kris Chantanotoke, Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Pikun Srimahunt, Senior Executive Vice President & Chief SME Banking Officer at Siam Commercial Bank, and Mr. Pariwat Wongsamran, Director of Entrepreneur and Enterprise, Director of Startup Thailand at the National Innovation Agency and Miss Atchara Poomee, Chief Executive Officer at PAC Corporation (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.

 

             The success of the past four NIA x SCB Innovation-Based Enterprise courses is evident, with 150 SME entrepreneurs having participated and successfully completed the program.
