SCB Donates 73 Million cc of Blood to Thai Red Cross Society and Launches the “2025 SCB Blood Donation” Project

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), in collaboration with the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society, has launched the “2025 SCB Blood Donation” project, a continuous initiative since 1996. Through this campaign, SCB has contributed 73 million cc of blood, inviting employees, customers, and the public to donate every three months. The bank also supports and organizes donation drives at its head office, branches, Regional Blood Centres, and mobile units throughout 2024. This initiative has helped save the lives of over 547,500 patients, ensuring a sufficient blood supply for nationwide medical treatments and addressing blood shortages. Mr. Worawat Suvagondha, Chief People Officer of SCB, handed over the donated blood to Emeritus Prof. Chaivej Nuchprayoon, M.D., Assistant Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society, at the project’s launch event held at Mahisorn Hall, SCB Head Office.

To mark the occasion, SCB organized a blood donation drive, drawing participation from employees, customers, the public, and nearby organizations. The first 500 donors at SCB Head Office received a "Cheun Jai" portable fan as a token of appreciation. This event is held quarterly, with the next donation days scheduled for May 13, August 13, and November 13. Additionally, SCB is fostering a culture of giving among student interns, encouraging them to volunteer and donate blood. The bank continues to invite employees, customers, and the public to donate blood regularly every three months, highlighting the life-saving impact of each donation.

Every blood donation can save more than three lives, while also benefiting the donor’s health by stimulating circulation and promoting the production of new blood cells. We encourage healthy individuals to donate blood continuously—a simple act that makes a profound difference in saving lives.
